Suck-a-Thumb Monkey
Tonight Mom brought Dillon a present ... a 31 year old stuffed animal ... my old suck-a-thumb monkey!!! Dillon is not too sure about this thing, but he likes it.
My two suck-a-thumbs monkeys!
And here Dillon is testing out the monkey's thumb! Precious!

9 Months
Dillon went for his 9 month appt last week. Here are his stats:
weight: 19 lbs 11 oz (70th percentile)
height: 29 1/2 inches (85th percentile)
head: 45.5 centimeters (50th percentile)
The Dr said he was doing great! He's still sleeping through the night, takes 2 naps during the day, 5 bottles (6 oz each), has 6 teeth now! He also can start eating table food now. Yesterday we gave him some green beans, and Friday night when we were out he ate some edamame! He is not into his baby food at all anymore - but he will try about anything you give him if you are eating it. He ate some ham and bagel yesterday morning. And he's been eating some banana for a while now - couple bites here and there. Our little boy is growing up!!
And oh yeah - he's crawling UP A STORM! Started on his 9th month birthday and hasn't stopped since! Good times!

Swimming Lesson
The second additional lesson today was dunking their left shoulder, the right shoulder, then head. We passed on that one but may get there before the end of the lessons. You are supposed to say "bubbles", then dunk the baby. Although Dillon is brilliant, I am not certain he knows that "bubbles" means breath out, not in. Anyway - we'll get there.
Dion just left to change the oil on the boat. We are going to meet him out there in about an hour. Good times! I love summer! Have a great one!

Latest Update ...
May has been quite busy for some reason! I have not made time to update the blog - sorry to those loyal readers! Today Dion, Dillon and I spent some time on the boat. This is the 4th time I think Dillon has been on the boat, and it was by far the best time! Dillon was all smiles as you can see from the picture above! He doesn't really smile when we are going, but as soon as we stop, he is happy as can be. And today, both leaving the pier and coming back he snoozed hard! I had a good stream of drool running down my right arm earlier and my left later on! Too funny!
Besides adventures on the boat, Dillon and Dion went swimming in a pool last Sunday! The water was freezing, but that did not bother Dillon in the least! He had a great time! We are signed up for swimming lessons starting mid-June. I am excited about that! It will be good for Dillon, but great for Dion and I to learn how to handle him in the water. Monday I plan to take Dillon to our neighborhood pool. Should be fun! I probably won't get any pictures because Dion has to work. Just imagine in your minds! ha ha ha
Also, as you can see from the boat pictures, Dillon is standing now! This boy does not attempt to crawl, but he is scooting around on his behind a little, and he will stand for 1-2 minutes if you stand him up first. Today he tried to pull on from sitting position on the boat, but he couldn't get a good grip. I bet if he had gotten a good grip, he would have stood on up! His strength is really amazing!
Last night Dillon also drank out of a straw for the first time! He is getting so big! Dion and I were eating at Joel's and I had forgotten Dillon's sippy cup, so we ordered a to go cup of water. Dion tried to give it to him just like a normal cup (no lid) but it was getting quite messy. I decided I would just *try* to give it to him threw the straw ... he new exactly what to do! It was so cool! There he was, drinking his water through a straw! I have got to get some straws for the house! Too cute!
Sorry for the slow month of blogging ... will try to do better in June!
