Well, Dion and I finally made the move! We are getting solid countertops! We have been talking about it since the day we moved in here (6 1/2 years ago)! Wednesday the granite countertops will arrive ... in the meantime, Dion and Dad placed the island top back on ... and as long as you don't lean on it or into it, it works just fine ... now the stove and the dishwasher - they need to be bolted down! I have a crick in my neck from tensing up when trying to unload the dishwasher!! That thing nearly fell on top of me (and I could already see all the broken dishes!) But, never fear, Dion was there to jump in and save the day! Enjoy the pics ... more to come Wednesday ... CAN'T WAIT!! Before
During
Countertops gone!
The one good thing is it's very easy to get things out of the drawers now!! :)

Flying with Daddy
This past weekend Dion took us flying over Lake Norman and then to Mount Airy. Dillon has flown in a plane twice before - to and from Baltimore last Christmas. I am sure this was quite a difference experience for him - for one, his daddy was the pilot! And he was alert most of the trip and it's a much smaller plane. He had a good time - didn't fuss one bit! Here are a couple pictures from last Sunday!
Words
Dillon has what I consider quite a big vocabulary these days! Here are the words that I am pretty sure he's saying - - -
Dada
Mama
baby
hey
hi
hello
bye-bye
"nite-nite"
"quack quack"
hot (although he just repeats it, doesn't know what it means)
"tickle tickle tickle" (sounds like "ticka ticka ticka")
"beep beep beep" (when the microwave is done)
Poppy (my dad)
uh-oh
Dillon also has a new things where he picks up random toys and talks into them like they are phones ... here he is talking on his "iPhone" ... ha ha ha!

Big Boy Car Seat
Right after Dillon's first birthday, he switched to the big boy car seat. It took him a little while to get used to it - he liked sitting in it from the beginning, but when we were driving around, he was very very serious for a good bit! He just sat back there sucking that thumb with a straight face and starring out the window! Now he's a pro though and will smile, giggle and "sing" in the car!
